In 1996, Delphinium, Ltd. was founded by John Soroka, Michael Quinn and Gary Alaimo, former musical theatre performers who, looking to create a unique business they could call their own, saw the growing need in their community for a retail store combining unique cards and gifts, sold in a warm friendly environment; a haven from the hustle and bustle of Hell’s Kitchen in midtown Manhattan. With the help and support of family, friends (and a lot of hard work), Delphinium Card & Gift was born! Overflowing with colorful and unusual cards, candles, books, stationery, jewelry, bath products, children’s books, etc. it served the community for over fifteen years.

A few years later, the remarkable success of this store allowed us to pursue another dream of ours by creating a unique home accessories & gift store a block away on Ninth Avenue.
